Trident University International (TUI) is a fully online university offering a wide variety of Bachelor's, Master's, and Doctoral level degree programs. There are no campus visits or residency requirements. An experienced Ph.D. prepared faculty enhances TUI's student-centric approach by helping students finish their degree programs and achieve a quality educational experience. The success of the student-centric approach in TUI's online programs is reflected in high retention rates.
TUI operates with four main sessions (Fall, Winter, Spring and Summer) and four interim sessions (November, February, May and August) between the main sessions. Each session is approximately 12 weeks in duration. All courses at TUI are 4 semester credit hours. A full-time load is considered to be two courses or eight semester credits per session. Undergraduate students with an AA/AS degree may transfer up to 60 semester credits. Students transferring from a four-year university may transfer up to 88 semester credits out of the total 120 credits required for a Bachelor's degree. Graduate students may transfer 8-12 semester credits to one of TUI's Master's degree programs.
A special tuition rate is being offered to FOP members, spouses, and dependents, reducing Bachelor's level tuition from $295 to $250 per semester credit (15% discount), and from $345 to $250 per semester credit (27.5% discount) for Masters level programs, making the cost for each 4-credit course an affordable $1000. In addition, the application fee of $75 is waived for future NFOPU undergraduate and graduate students. Free access to an extensive cyber-library, professional periodicals, and archive materials, eliminates the need to purchase costly textbooks.
TUI's alliances include all branches of the U.S. Armed Forces, leading law enforcement agencies and organizations such as the FBI National Academy Associates (FBINAA), the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department University (LASDU) and the Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD), leading corporations, professional associations, and community colleges.
