Mountain State University is honored to be part of FOP University and is pleased to offer two leadership degree programs at special rates for FOP members: the Bachelor of Science in Organizational Leadership and the Master of Science in Strategic Leadership.
Mountain State University offers a 20% tuition reduction to all FOP members who enroll in an MSU bachelor's or master's degree leadership program. If a spouse enrolls in a leadership program with an FOP member, the spouse will also receive a 20% tuition reduction. If only the spouse of an FOP member enrolls in a leadership program, he/she will receive a 10% tuition reduction. The 2007-2008 tuition rate for organizational leadership courses with a 20% tuition reduction is $672 per course. The 2007-2008 tuition rate for strategic leadership courses with a 20% tuition reduction is $756 per course.
Financial aid is available to those eligible for Stafford loans. Veterans eligible for the GI bill can use those benefits at Mountain State University.
MSU will accept up to 80 transferable credits; up to 64 credit hours of prior learning, which can include law enforcement or military training, can be integrated into your MSU bachelor's degree.
The bachelor's degree requires four fifteen-week academic semesters to complete; the master's degree requires three twenty-week academic semesters to complete. Instead of a thesis, a work-related action research project is performed. There are no residency requirements, and there are no GRE or GMAT requirements.
