General Counsel to the National Fraternal Order of Police: As General Counsel, I represent more than 325,000 police officers in the areas of labor, legislative and administrative practice, insurance, intellectual property, investments, contracts, audits, ethics, and litigation.
General Counsel to the Ohio FAIR Plan Underwriting Association: The Ohio FAIR Plan was established in 1968 to provide insurance coverage for eligible property unable to obtain insurance through the voluntary market. As General Counsel, I represent the Ohio FAIR Plan in all insurance-related matters, including business litigation, ethics, and audit reviews.
General Counsel to the USA Track & Field Board of Directors: The USATF is the National Governing Body for track & field with nearly 100,000 members. As General Counsel to the Board of Directors, I represent the Board in all legal matters.
Practice Areas: Corporate and business matters, including litigation, as well as Business and Professional Ethics practice. Extensive work with various government entities on behalf of numerous clients.
1990 to 1992: Safety Director Department of Public Safety, City of Columbus, Ohio. Appointed by Mayor Dana G. Rinehart. Served as Safety Director while on leave from the law firm. Responsible for a budget of $170 million annually; 1,440 police officers, 1,208 fire fighters, and 400 plus civilians.
